This chimneypiece was copied from a Georgian original made by George, Hill and Author Darley of Mercer street Dublin. It was removed from a house in Merrion square Dublin, and is a great example of the high quality neo-classical chimneypieces that are to be found in the finest 18th century Irish houses.
